She took another deep breath, filling her lungs with fresh air. The sky was pale blue and golden, and she could smell the perfume of wild roses on the wind. It felt so good to be away from it all. As she wandered further across the meadow, pushing through the long grass, it was as if she was returning to herself. Her true self that she could never show.

Eventually, she stopped, sinking down into the grass. She was so tired, but she knew that sleep was still beyond her. Her mind was still whirring with what had happened last evening. It was all so confusing that she couldn’t make head nor tail of it.
